One of the lesser known cultivars I’m growing. It was part of a box of tubers where I was only after 1 of the 6 included. Funnily enough this is the only one that survived my care, made a decent amount of tubers, and is just happy to flower and flower and flower for me this godforsaken season.
And the colour! The most incredible watermelon and coral petals. Can’t get enough of this one.

A lovely butter yellow with a much needed blush centre.
Beautiful and big and does not scream look at me!.

It lives up to its name. A very tall growing plant with plump, juicy blooms. It could possibly grow to a more standard height – ie not 7ft tall – if stopped early enough.
Happy to have this cultivar in the collection especially because it was hybridised by a garden friend.
For scale (at least to those familiar), Big Fat Grape (left) beside Lileah Mailman (right).
